APGA RF/GTI Energy R&D Forum

The 2026 APGA RF/GTI Energy R&D Forum will be held September 1-2 and includes informative updates, presentations and tours on important operations and end-use projects at GTI Energy headquarters in Des Plaines, Ill (outside of Chicago, near O'Hare airport). 

GTI provides research, development, deployment, and training initiatives, which are designed to address issues impacting the natural gas industry value chain—supply, delivery, and end use.

It is free to attend the APGA RF/GTI Energy R&D Forum. Please make your hotel reservations and register before Monday, August 10, 2026.

If you are attending the APGA RF/GTI Energy R&D Forum, meals will be provided by GTI Energy, and the APGA Research Foundation will cover the cost of room and tax at the conclusion of the meeting. You are responsible for making your own hotel reservations and canceling the reservation if your plans change. Attendees are responsible for incidental charges. A full breakfast is included in the room rate.

About the Research Foundation

The APGA Research Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that serves as the “bank” for public gas system (PGS) voluntary research and development (R&D) contributions.

The APGA RF invests the bulk of its resources into GTI Energy, a not-for-profit R&D organization located just outside of Chicago. GTI provides research, development, and training initiatives, which are designed to address issues impacting the natural gas and energy markets across the industry’s value chain—supply, delivery, and end use.

Conference Location

To highlight the importance of R&D and to showcase GTI Energy’s critical work, the APGA RF and GTI Energy will host a Forum at GTI Energy’s headquarters in Des Plaines, Ill.

Transportation

The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from Chicago’s O’Hare airport. 

Transportation will also be provided between the hotel and GTI headquarters.
